A cholera epidemic occurred before the corona was over in the country

Director of Japoma Regional Hospital Dr. Kevine Laure Nkaghere stated in his statement that the fight against the cholera epidemic was forgotten during these days when the new type of coronavirus (Kovid-19) was focused.

Nkaghere stated that in the last three weeks, cholera cases have been seen in Douala, 4 out of 22 cases that have been identified have resulted in death.

Cholera, which is formed as a result of parasitization of “Vibrio” bacteria in the small intestine of people, is transmitted through drinking water and food washed with dirty water.
These bacteria, which cause symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, swelling and vomiting, cause the disease to appear within 6 to 48 hours after it enters the body.
