F-35 presented to the US Congress report pointed out in detail: to further increase the risks of removing Turkey

In the F-35 procurement report prepared by the US Government, Accountability Office (GAO), it turned out that the F-35 program could not meet production standards. In the report, it was determined that only 3 thousand of the produced 10,000 airframe carries design standards.

GAO’s F-35 report, which provides inspection, evaluation and investigation services for the US Congress, stated that the aircraft’s test and part production was significantly interrupted by Kovid-19.

9-MONTH DELAY IN THE PROGRAM THROUGH THE CORONAVIRUS

In the report, it was noted that most of the tests planned in 2019 were carried out, but there was a 9-month delay in part of the program due to the Kovid-19 outbreak.

In the report, which was stated that the full capacity production of the aircraft may sail to the next march with the delay, the following statements were made:

“While the F-35 program increases the production rate and negotiates low costs for aircraft, its production processes do not meet the principal production practices standards set by GAO. Especially, only 3 thousand out of the 10,000 body supplied by the contractor during the production process comply with the design standards set for product quality. At the same time, more than 500 planes landed on the runway still have not reached the program’s reliability and sustainability goals. US commanders and international partners may not be able to receive aircraft of the quality specified in the sale. ”

REMOVAL OF TURKEY WILL ENHANCE THE GREATER RISK

The report said the risk of removal from Turkey drew attention to the evaluation of the program will further increase.
