GEORGE FLOYD’S FUNERAL CEREMONY WILL TAKE THURSDAY
Tim Walz, governor of Minnesota state, including Minneapolis, where protests broke out due to the murder of George Floyd in the United States, announced that George Floyd’s funeral will be held on Thursday.
At the press conference he organized, Governor Walz also gave information about the protest actions in the city.
“On the second night, there was safety and order on our streets. It was a very difficult week, ”said Walz, who said that the curfew was extended for another day, but will only be implemented between 22.00 and 04.00 local time.
Governor Waltz said, “I don’t want to draw a picture that this is over. You can feel the air of optimism is coming back. ”
ANSWER TO THE WORDS OF TRUMP
“I think these were his words,” said Governor Walz, who refused to confirm that US President Donald Trump used the word “weak” for governors.
It was also reported in the news of the American press that Trump said “the world laughs at them”.
Regarding these words, Walz said, “Nobody laughs here. We are in pain. ”
According to the audio recording from US-based broadcasting agency CBS News, Trump instructed the governors, who he accused of being “weak,” to take more drastic measures against protests.
Stating that he also took steps for the events in the capital Washington DC, Trump shared the information that “While we are talking here, we assign thousands of heavily armed military personnel and security forces to stop looting, burning and demolition.”
Trump warned the demonstrators to comply with the curfew that started at 19:00 local time in the city, “Those who pose a threat to innocent lives and property will be detained, arrested and prosecuted under full law. “These groups are Antifa and other people directing these violence.”
Underlining that he will protect his people and his rights, Trump said, “There is no opportunity without law, no freedom without justice, no future without security. We should never be in anger and hatred. If treachery and violence prevail, none of us will be free.” gave the message.
Trump, after his speech at the White House, left the campus and tried to set fire to the protests last night near the White House. He walked to the St. Johns Church with the Bible he held.
