India and Bangladesh preparing for super storm

The Amphan storm is expected to reach the border of India and Bangladesh in less than 36 hours, causing severe wind and rain in the region.

Super storm Amphan was the strongest storm recorded last night in the Bay of Bengal.

Indicating that the wind speed in the Bay of Bengal goes up to 270 kilometers per hour, the officials announced that the storm falls into the fourth category.

The super storm is expected to reach the India-Bangladesh border on Wednesday evening.

In Bangladesh, 2 million people are planned to be evacuated from the regions at risk.

Millions of people started to be evacuated on the east coast of India.

Amphan is the second storm ever recorded in the Bay of Bengal. At least 10,000 people died and 15,000 villages were damaged in the storm recorded in 1999.
