In Italy, the number of people who lost their lives due to the new type of coronavirus (Kovid-19) increased by 153 in the last 24 hours to 31 thousand 763.

Recent information about the Kovid-19 outbreak, which has been going on for about 3 months in the country, was announced with a written statement from the Civil Defense institution.

According to the statement, the number of active coronavirus cases in the country fell to 70 thousand 187 with a decrease of 1883. To date, the number of Kovid-19 contaminants has been 224,760.

The number of healers has increased to 122,810 today with an increase of 2 thousand 605.

The number of people who lost their lives from Kovid-19 increased by 153 more in the last 24 hours and reached 31,763. The number of casualties today was the lowest number of casualties recorded since March 9, when strict quarantine measures were announced in the country.

The decline in the number of those treated in intensive care continued today. The number, which was 808 yesterday, dropped to 775 today.

According to the data of Civil Defense, 2 million 944 thousand 859 tests have been carried out across the country so far.

The number of people who died in the last 24 hours in the region of Lombardy, where the country suffered the most deaths due to the epidemic to date, has been 39.

Gradual return to normal accelerated

Italy, evaluating the course of the epidemic curve following the intense demands from the regional administrations, the government also opened the opening of restaurants, bars, cafes and places of worship, which it announced to open on June 1st, on May 18th.

Accordingly, the measures will be loosened a little more on May 18, provided that they comply with the social distance and hygiene conditions, but the ban on inter-regional travel will last until June 3.

Accelerating the gradual return to normal with this step, the government will intervene in the regions if the infection spreads.

On the other hand, some shop and restaurant operators, who argued that their financial losses were not covered and the payments were not facilitated, also protested the government in small groups in the capital city of Rome and different cities.
