NASA Shares Big News Found on the Moon

NASA: Water discovered on the surface of the Moon

NASA announced that there was water on the lunar surface. The statement said, “This discovery shows that the water may have been scattered on the surface of the moon and not limited to cold and shady places.”

NASA administrator “Is there water on the moon?” announced that they found an answer to the question: “Yes, there is water on the moon”.

US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) director Jim Bridenstine announced on his Twitter account that they found water on the surface of the Moon.

Bridenstine shared the following statements:

“Using @SOFIATelecobe, we have detected water on the sunlit side of the Moon for the first time. We are not sure yet if we can use it as a resource, but what we learned about water on the Moon is key to our Artemis exploration plans.”

US National Aeronautics and Space Administration: Big News Is Water on the Moon!

In a written statement made by NASA, “The Infrared Astronomy Stratosphere Observatory has confirmed for the first time the presence of water on the sunny surface of the Moon. This discovery shows that the water may have been scattered on the surface of the moon and not limited to cold and shady places. ”

Maryland-based Goddard Space Flight Center employees have confirmed that instead of hydroxyl (OH), water ice (H2O) is on the lunar surface. The team made their discovery through the SOFIA telescope mounted on an airplane to detect a water-specific spectral trace and get a clearer view of the atmosphere.

University of Colorado Astrophysics Professor Paul Hayne and her team, using camera images and temperature measurements taken by a NASA satellite, announced that ice masses occupy about 40,000 square kilometers, or roughly 0.1 percent of the lunar surface.

Hayne Answers:

“We see billions of these previously undiscovered ice pools. This provides an opportunity to extract ice more easily. We think this is revolutionary in terms of what astronauts will need on the moon.” said.

Nasa News Arrives on October 26

NASA, which previously announced that it will announce an “exciting” new discovery about the Moon on October 26, plans to send a male and a female astronaut to the surface of the Moon in 2024 within the framework of the program called “Artemis”.

The NASA statement stated that the discovery of the Infrared Astronomy Stratosphere Observatory, a “Boeing 747SP” type aircraft carrying a 2.7 meter mirror telescope, “will contribute to the agency’s efforts to learn more about the Moon.”
