US President Trump sent a letter to World Health Organization General Director Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. Trump shared the letter he sent to Ghebreyesus through his social media account. In his letter, Trump filed charges with the World Health Organization on allegations that he ignored the spread of the virus and was too late to declare a pandemic. The US President told the World Health Organization that the funds would permanently stop if they did not ‘substantial reforms’ within 30 days.
“WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION HAS DISCOVERED THE VIRUS IS SPREADED”
Trump shared the letter sent to Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO), on his Twitter account. Stating that the United States is dealing with WHO’s new type of coronavirus (Kovid-19) epidemic and its relations with China, Trump stated that they have reached a series of conclusions as a result of this research.
“WHO has ignored the news that a virus has spread in Wuhan in December 2019 or even earlier,” Trump pointed out that WHO did not adequately study the situation in Wuhan. Stating that WHO has been absolutely aware of the virus, based on the news in the Chinese press as of December 30, 2019, Trump said, “On December 31, Taiwan officials contacted WHO that the virus was transmitted from person to person. However, WHO preferred not to share this critical information with the rest of the world. “Maybe there were political reasons for that.”
“THE PANDEMS HAVE BEEN ADVERTISED”
Recalling that WHO made a statement that no prohibition to travel to China would be imposed on February 3, Trump stressed that WHO also shared false information that the virus spread slowly in the following days. Pointing out that WHO ultimately declared the virus “pandemic” on March 11, but that it was late, Trump said, “But until then, the virus spread to 114 countries worldwide, more than 4,000 people died and more than 100,000 infected.” shared.
Trump reminded that African ambassadors sent a letter to the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs on April 11, saying that they were discriminated against their citizens, “WHO did not comment on the racist behavior of China. “You labeled it.”
Arguing that China is trying to keep a lot of evidence about the virus, Trump noted that the organization still called China “transparent”.
“WE KNOW THAT IT CAN BE DONE BETTER THAT”
“Worst of all, we know that WHO can do better than that,” said Trump, noting that WHO is not calling China to allow an independent investigation into the source of the virus.
Listing examples of WHO’s dealing with previous outbreaks much better, Trump addressed Ghebreyesus and wrote:
“The wrong steps that you and your organization took one after another during this pandemic have been very expensive to the whole world. The only way for WHO is to show that it is independent of China. My management has already started negotiations with you about what kind of reform should be done. It is my duty as the President of the USA to inform that if WHO does not make substantial reforms in the next 30 days, we will permanently freeze the funds we provide to you and review our membership to WHO. somehow I can’t let him go to this organization that doesn’t serve the interests of the United States. ”
On April 14, Trump accused WHO of failing to fight the epidemic and staying close to China, and announced that they had suspended financial support to the organization. “We will have a new announcement about WHO next week,” US President Trump said in the White House on Thursday.
